‘Full Frequency’ In Jamaica, NY – Sean Paul Releases Sixth Studio Album Today

Today, Grammy Award-winning deejay Sean Paul releases his sixth studio album, Full Frequency – and his voice will be all over the FM dials in Jamaica. In acknowledgement of the release, popular radio stations FAME, Zip, SunCity and Mello will be dipping extensively into Sean Paul’s catalogue throughout the day.

In New York, USA, the Sean Paul presence will be more immediate, with an album release party being planned.

There has been a consistent build-up in the Full Frequency promotion. Sean Paul has been blazing a promotional trail for his latest effort, making appearances in Costa Rica, Los Angeles and Philadelphia in the USA, as well as different locations across Europe. Last week, he made a highly publicised appearance on the US late night TV programme, the Arsenio Hall Show, where he and fellow dancehall artiste Konshens performed their single Want Dem All. Hall said the two brought the house down with their energetic set.

Full Frequency features numerous collaborations with international artistes such as Nicki Minaj, Iggy Azalea, 2 Chains and Juicy J.

European tour

In the final weekend before the official album release, Sean Paul hit maximum velocity on the promotional tour bus, making appearances at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Valentine’s Day, before heading to the annual 9 Mile Festival in Miami on Saturday. Following today’s album release, Sean Paul is off to start his European tour.

The first single from Full Frequency, Other Side Of Love, has been getting heavy rotation locally and internationally since its release last September. The energetic dance-pop song, co-written by Sean Paul, was released by Atlantic label. The single went number one on charts in France, Belgium and the United Kingdom.

Sean Paul released his first studio album in 2000. He shot to international fame with the release of his second studio album, Dutty Rock, that gave the Gimme the Light deejay a Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album in 2004. That set saw a collaboration with US R&B singer Beyonce Knowles, the popular single Baby Boy.

Sean Paul’s previous album release, Tomahawk Technique (2012), was nominated in the Grammy’s Reggae Album category. However, it was topped by Stephen Marley’s Revelation Part1: The Root of Life.
