Since 1987, Junior-Jawara Blake a University of the West Indies trained Natural Scientist and Chemist, Columbia University Political Scientist, Lehman College and Health Maintenance Institute graduate has been the host of talk radio programs, “Health is Here” and “The Meeting in the Afrikan Village Square”, heard weekly on influential New York radio station WVIP-93.5 FM.

Jawara Blake’s passion and in-depth knowledge of health, politics and music from around the globe inspired him to create both radio programs as conduits to expose international alternative health care practices and options, trends and practitioners, musical artistes and engage listeners in political dialogue and activism.

Blake’s broad professional background includes more than 35+ years in the communications field, Microcosmic Scientist/Food Therapeutic Counselor and as a Human Development Advocate. Renowned for standard setting programs, news, public affairs information and culturally relevant shows, his programs serves a growing audience of nearly 250,000+ listeners weekly throughout the tri-state community.

Junior-Jawara Blake is the founder of the Healthee Endeavors Corporation – a company that engages in the manufacture of herbal products – its flagship items being the “Trinity of Internal Hygiene” consisting of the Mount Atlantis WoodRoot Tonic, Doctor Bird Bitters and Herbal Harmony 555 and its outlet store is Vegan’s Delight in the Bronx, New York.

Fondly referred to as “Brother Jawara”, Blake has developed his own personal style that can best be described as energetic, knowledgeable and engaging.  With a love of things political, there was probably no better place to be born than Westmoreland , Jamaica where politics dominates ever-widening media choices and the lush tropical vegetation was a breeding ground for a man known as a “Herbologist’s, Herbologist”.  He is one of the most sought after practitioners in the alternative health field and is the Herbologist of choice and primary care practitioner for many alternative health care practitioners. By grounding with grassroots organizations since his youthful days he has committed his life to the pursuit of Afrikan liberation, having recognized that Afrikan people must correct our present course or face certain peril.
